Please tell our readers who you are and what you do?
My name is Daniel Fornica aka 4NIQ, I am a Venezuelan dj/producer who lives in the Middle Tennessee area. 30 min from Nashville Tn.
I started my career in the late 90 's in my hometown Valencia – Venezuela. Where I mainly started going to techno parties when Techno and minimal ruled the scene again.
I will never forget that first party I attended where the headliner was a British acid techno DJ called Chris Liberator.
So "Magic" happened, I knew I wanted to have that connection between the dj, the sound system and the hypnotic rhythms that connected all these elements together. Is like when you fall at first sight you know is the one.
How would you describe your style and genre?
Tropical, contagious, mysterious, that "bom" sound you know, but i also like to make sense while keeping elegance.
Who are your biggest influences and idols … and why? Do you have any idols? Are you a super fan of anyone? (Dead or alive, musician or non-musician)
Simon diaz (Venezuelan Folk singer), Jim Morrison , Depeche mode, Styx, Radiohead, Sven Väth, Danny Tenaglia, Ricardo villalobos, Robag Whrume. list is really extensive but these guys really move me and inspire me.
What´s new right now? What should our readers know about that is coming up from you?
Right now im about to release an EP called "New Horizons" at "The Nashville House Syndicate" (NHS) an indie house label that i founded with my friend Enrique Ferrer sep last year
NHS is an experiment you know we try not to follow a pattern, we wanted to work on the house and techno flavors with the uniqueness of the talented Nashville area artists.
Since we are super indie not big kit press over the social media right not we just wanna focus in the quality of the product.

What was the biggest mistake you made when you started making music and what would be the number one tip you could give to a newcomer musician?

What has been your biggest challenge right now? Have you been able to overcome that challenge? If so, how?
Trying to convey what I listen, see and breath. For me is important to understand the city culturally first so then i can convey that into the label. i'm a huge believer that every city has something unique to offer musically and Nashville is a special place to be right now . And that is the hardest part , to translate all that into an indie house – techno label in a non traditional house- techno label city. The good thing is that at the end things come natural and unexpected and a different sound is created.
