Please tell our readers who you are and what you do?
I'm just a 23 year old producer out of the San Francisco Bay Area primarily focusing on Hybrid Trap. I tend to experiment with other genres like Dubstep, House, and Future Bass as well. I'm known for my infamous "second drops" in my songs that normally tend to drastically change the feel of a song half-way through, while also keeping it familiar. Repetition is not in my vocabulary as I always make sure to keep my music interesting, unique, and ever-evolving.
How would you describe your influences and how have they changed over the years?
I would say I have 3 key Producers that have heavily influenced my music.
First off would be Zedd. His technicality and deep artistic understanding of music with complex melodies and harmonies help convey a sense of emotion that's hard to get from a lot of other artists. He's helped me fine-tune my music to be able to tell a story in a way. Each song I make has a certain vibe or emotion that you can feel almost immediately, while being able to follow a path through the song and understand the story behind it even without lyrics. That technicality and emotion he puts in his music has left a huge mark on my work, and I'm always learning and improving with each song I make.
My second major influence would be KSHMR. I LOVE that Middle Eastern sound of his and how he can use that to bring almost an entirely new sound to EDM. A lot of my newer music conveys that same feel by using certain chord progressions and leads that give you that exotic feel while still being familiar. He also helped me expand into other genres I normally stayed away from at the beginning like House for example.
Last but definitely not least would be DISKORD. His insane leads, growls and sub basses just make the hair on the back of anyone's neck stand up. I love being able to make someone raise their eyebrows in awe when they hear one of my newer tracks, and DISKORD in my opinion is one of the kings when it comes to that type of hype.
What´s new right now?
It's been quiet for me for the past few months, but only because I've been really taking my time on this new album. Get ready for an all new 4WRD coming at you this 2018.
I've also got a possible collab coming your way in the next month or so with some friends of mine, so keep an eye out.
