Please tell our readers who you are and what you do?

We are a duo of techno producers from Lausanne, Switzerland. We are friends since a long long time and started the Acousmie project in 2014.
We usually only play live act.

How would you describe your style and genre?

We play and produce Techno. Our style has been influenced by many kind of music like Hip-hop, Acid jazz, Blues, Rock and many more and it went throught different styles as well like Tech-house and Minimal.
With Acousmie we manly play Industrial or Raw Techno and sometimes Minimal Techno when the atmosphere needs to be slowed down a little.

Who are your biggest idols ever? Dead or alive, musician or non-musician.

We have many idols but those who inspire us the most are Extrawelt.

What was the biggest mistake you made when you started making music and what would be the number one tip you could give to a newcomer musician?

The biggest mistake that we made was to try to understand the music production by ourself without any tips. And so we used to make a lot of mistakes beacause of this one! The best way to learn fast is to meet other Djs or producers to share experience with. Otherwise a tip that we want to share is simply to watch turorials online as you can find allmost everything for free on youtube. ?

How do you get gigs? Can you share any tips?

The best way to get gigs his to make friend in the local sceen and promoters. We are getting our gigs trough our booking agency or directly from the promoters.

What has been your biggest challenge right now? Have you been able to overcome that challenge? If so, how?

Our biggest challenge was to go on stage the first time. It was so because we didn't want to play afront of an audiance, we just wanted to produced music for ourselfs until we had the opportunity to do it. As it wasn't planned we weren't ready for it and so it was a big challenged for us that we finally overcame easily. After this first show we had so many good feedbacks that we wanted to keep going further and further.

How do you promote yourself? Do you have any specific promotion tips for other musicians?

We mainly promote ourself via social medias. As a tip, we'll say you should meet other musicians, make friends, bound and make a collectif! In this way you can share your promotional network with your collectif and share gigs as well! Otherwise make your own rave parties in the woods ?

We meet again in one year. What has happened?

We've probably bought a lot more synthesizers and music gear!
