Read the AMADEUS Interview below and share it on social media.
Please tell our readers who you are and what you do?
Well, My name is Philip Foss-Jacobsen, and AMADUES is my artist name. I am a borned and raised 16 year old from a little town called Sarpsborg in Norway, where I still live. I began playing piano when I was like 11 years old, where I literally started composing/producing stuff right away.
I kept producing and growing as a musician and it has been a dominating part of my life since. Still, It was not before recently that I officially published my first songs, which I am very excited about. It has been a huge individual project planning everything from the bottom to the top. Everything from image & the artificial elements to composition & vocal. You can in other words say I have realized how much time it takes planning So, a huge thanks to the supportive people I am surrounded by especially my sister, who has done an amazing job with both the lyrics and vocal with both of the releases.
I will only keep developing as a producer & release conducted & inspirational work in the future, hopefully.
( You can find me as "AMADEUS" on Spotify, Youtube (Chill Nation; Flavor – Amadeus (feat. Clio) , Apple Music and many other streaming services)
How would you describe your influences and how have they changed over the years?
I have in my time working with music analyzed a multiplicity of different genres, everything from jazz to EDM, Opera and classical to Futuristic- and experimental house. Even though I have explored a wide range of genres, I have some artist that play a more constructive role related to inspiration & influence. Some of the biggest inspiration & influence will be Avicii, Flume & Kygo.
So in totality I work with a very big variety of genres, and do not have any specific style. I have some signature sounds, which will obviously be my Hawaiian guitar and rhythmical drum sounds, but despite that I mostly try finding new inspirational sounds. Honestly I do not want to be "committed" to one specific genre or type of sound either. I have to picture that everytime I start making music it is a new story, a new chapter, a new page of the book.
What´s new right now?
I definitely have loads of up & coming tracks I will share with you. I work very hard with trying to prioritize music, even though it can be tough. I also try to find people to work with, you now producers need other producers. So, if you have an amazing voice or hyped for a collaboration just hit me up!
I have recently started a Soundcloud profile where I post a lot more than on Spotify, everything from remixes, instrumentals and compositions I have done on the piano. You can expect posts from a widespread range of genres, for instance future house/experimental, jazz/house/R'n'B and ballads.
Hope you guys will keep an eye up, and I would love all sort of feedback. Say whatever you have in your heart – your thoughts is my inspiration.
I LOVE YOU FOLKZZ!
