Please tell our readers who you are and what you do?
I'm Arno Stolz, a 22 year old DJ, producer and label owner based in Antwerp, Belgium. I'm now producing and playing music for over a couple of years. In 2016 i started with my label called 'Proper Musique' which has now also 2 sublabels underneath 'Proper Musique LTD' and '#PROPER.'
How would you describe your influences and how have they changed over the years?
When i started to produce i was more into the straight forward tech house, let's say the Toolroom 2013-14 style. Now it's for me all about the groove in a track. Doesn't matter for me if its a 125 bpm groove or 121, a track has to have a certain vibe/groove for me which i can say "i could listen to this groove all day long". That's why the slogan at Proper Musique is "All we need is a proper groove".
What´s new right now?
We've got some exciting things coming up for myself and for the label. I'm doing an EP on the label which comes with a HUGE remix from Raffa FL. Afterwards there will be a 4-tracker remix EP which includes some other heavy remixes. We've got also our 3rd sample pack coming up from the label. For the 4th and the 5th we have artist packs underway so make sure you keep an eye on our socials from Proper Musique. Personally i'm currently working on a remix for De-Noize records, and i've EP's coming up on Proper Musique, My Vision Records and Infamous Recordings. Some other things are underway too!
