Please introduce yourself real quick…
"ASoulCalledTrey, and I dont even know what that means."
That line from a track I wrote called "Outside" pretty much sums it up. On paper Im a 30 year old rapper/producer/filmmaker living in Dover Delaware working as a chef by day, and a hip hop mental health wizard at night.
Living as an all around artist creating with food, music, film, and drawing, while managing moderate schizophrenia and bipolar depression. Quite an interesting cocktail .
What do you do?
Right now Im just working on whatever comes across my pallet to create. As far as music is going, I will be releasing a new track every Monday, whether be an instrumental or a lyrical track. Getting a vlog series discussing mental health in the works and will be filming several music videos and short films throughout 2018.
What´s new right now?
I just released a new track called EXODUS produced by a very talented young kid named MAGIC, I actually have several of his instrumentals that are out and will be releasing more collabs with him. Sampled into the track is Gary Vaynerchuk, who is the biggest entrepreneurial innovator and inspirational social guru of our time, runs a multidimensional ad agency VaynerX. The sample is taken from track 8 of his "Airplane Project" which can be found on Youtube. Also I recently dropped my second music video titled SIGNALS produced by LAKEY INSPIRED. All of these are linked on my website

Are you a superfan of anyone? How did you become a superfan? Do you remember how you become a fan and what turned you into super fan? Have you ever thought about why you´re such a fan?
Lil Peep
In the 2 months I heard of Lil Peep before his passing I felt a connection with him as a person and as an artist on a level Ive never felt before. Corey Taylor of Slipknot was someone I related to when I was on high school but Lil Peep I felt connected to on a whole nother level. At 20 years old I was in the same place of dark depression and was using Xanax, cocaine, weed, and booze to numb the pain that was inside. I was also just starting my rap career at the age as well and if I had been in the spotlight position with that much access to money and the inability to handle me emotions I could see myself having died in the same manner as Peep.

What was the biggest mistake you made when you started making music and what would be the number one tip you could give to a newcomer musician?
Always trust yourself and be patient.
Stay true to yourself and know that its a lonely road , a lot of people who you thought would ride with you are gonna hop off, and thats cool.

Do you have good promotion tips for other musicians?
You defiantly have to invest more into promotion that you do the creation of the content.
Search Google for blogs relevant to your music and get in contact. Easier said than done I know. You can hire people or try to get people to do it for free. Fiverr is a good place…sometimes.

"Schiztotypal personality disorder " as they call it
I just say Im in my head way too much and that my inner thoughts and emotions are so all over the place most of the time that I cant focus on being creative and productive. Then i snap out of the funk for a while and get back into grind mode.
