Are you a superfan of anyone? How did you become a superfan? Do you remember how you become a fan and what turned you into super fan? Have you ever thought about why you´re such a fan?
I am a super fan of music in general, however as it relates to the music we release on Bush Doctor Recordings, I and a huge fan of some the early dance music producers/DJs of the Chicago/Detroit era, such as Frankie Knuckles, Mr. Fingers, Derrick May, Kevin Saunderson & Carl Craig.
These were the guys who introduced me to dance music.

What was the biggest mistake you made when you started making music and what would be the number one tip you could give to a newcomer musician?
I wouldn't classify it as a mistake, but starting out producing music, you tend to make music that you think, others might like, or mimic what is popular at the time, that's all good if, you aspire to release to commercial music.
The best advice I can give any newcomer is to make music that you feel, regardless of whats playing on the radio.

Do you have good promotion tips for other musicians?
For us as a label it's all about the music, rather than promote me as an artist, we are more focused on promoting the releases and the label itself. I guess we leave it up the fans to find out about the producer or artist. We tend to take an old-school approach toward it all.
We do most of our label and release promotion via facebook, twitter, and SoundCloud.

What has been your biggest challenge right now? Have you been able to overcome that challenge? If so, how?
Our biggest challenge to date is gaining visibility in the very crowded dance music arena. No doubt we have made great strides in establishing ourselves as a solid underground label. Whats exposure we have gotten is due to the music we have released thus far.
We continue to push forward in overcoming any and all challenges by allowing the music to speak for itself.

How do you personally discover new music?
I personally discover new music, by subscribing to the various music podcast, following my favorites DJs and via social media.
We also receive a lot of demos to the label, which I personally go through one by one.

What is your best tip for those who struggle with finishing their tracks?
It is very easy to get stuck in loop land and not know how to get out. What worked for me, when I was going through that stage of my musical development was seeing what portions of the idea, I was working on worked nicely together.
I would then build completely separate ideas (loops) using sections from the original loop and then bring those various sections together.
Also, there is nothing wrong with following the structure and arrangement of already released material.

We meet again in one year. What has changed?
