Please tell our readers who you are and what you do?
Hi there, I'm Cataclysm, a young electronic music producer. I've been making music for 3years now, so I'm pretty new at it. On my soundcloud you can find mostly electro house music and bigroom music but in the studio I produce lot of different kinds of electronic music. I think it's always great to be versatile and not focus on one unique genre. You should definitely go have a look to my track "Bring The Groove Back" (https://soundcloud.com/thomas_cataclysm/bring-the-groove-back-original-mix) if you enjoy groovy electro music!
How would you describe your influences and how have they changed over the years?
My influences didn't change, I still got a lot of respect for the people who, at some point, gave something new to the electronic music scene. For example I'm a big fan of Daft Punk. I can say that Blasterjaxx and Hardwell have been a great influence for me because I started to make music with the bigroom music boom. I think my taste didn't change that much but I started to open my mind a little bit about music and I discovered lot of new genres which were amazing.
What´s new right now?
I'm pretty quiet for the moment because of my life activities but I can say that I have a lot of unreleased stuff and I'm working on a big electro house track which could be a nice turning point in my career.

What is your number one tip to improve your music production or songwriting skills?
Open your mind to other genres. Don't focus on only one kind of music. Some tricks you do in dubstep could be used in trance or electro house for example.
