Please introduce yourself real quick…
I am a Hip-Hop/Rap artist from the 814 Area. I make moves on the daily trying to find my voice and become the best artist I can be. I come from a small community that has a lot of issues going on, but I strive to push through and make the best of what I have been given in life. Although I am working hard and doing this all on my own, I'm only 17 so I'm truthful in all my songs. Never rapped about a gold chain until I had one! hahaha!
What do you do?
I'm an artist that is currently able to do shows within a two-hour radius of my location right outside of Pittsburgh, I love to produce music, and my best friend and I are always entwined on projects with other artist and try to make the music game a nice place for people to be.
What´s new right now?
During the time of music creation, I myself strive to make myself better day by day, strive to find my voice, and strive to entertain people around the world. I know that my music may not be the greatest, however, it is 100x better than when I started. Coming Very Soon, I will be producing an album that is full of lyrics including what has happened to me over these recent months, showing that I overcome and push on. I'd called it a "17" Type album since I am 17 but I would also call it my own. I'm not out here to put up an act or copy other rappers, I'm here to be myself. I take being UNIQUE seriously, and I'm here to make that show.

Are you a superfan of anyone? How did you become a superfan? Do you remember how you become a fan and what turned you into super fan? Have you ever thought about why you´re such a fan?
I am not a superfan due to me wanting to expand on my likings of the Hip Hop genre. I listen to everything that I can, I do however like some artist more than others (Post Malone, Migos, Drake, French Montana, etc.) but I do not call myself a superfan to anyone.

What was the biggest mistake you made when you started making music and what would be the number one tip you could give to a newcomer musician?
When I started I didn't take too much criticism from people, and never really listened to the opinions of others. I saw my work, thought I was doing good, and continued to produce how I was. If you want to become a known artist you have to remember that the Fans are what make you, you have to cater to an audience, not yourself, and from their, you shall progress.

How do you get gigs? Can you share any tips?
Gigs can be hard to come by but my suggestion is to start small, find some local places that you can rent out or areas that are willing to accommodate for certain artist, although if in a public facility keep it PG-13 or things could go wrong. You want to build an audience, not destroy your image.

Do you have good promotion tips for other musicians?
Promoting is all about getting the fans involved talk about your life and then mention a song or an album and say how awesome it's gonna be. By talking to them like they are close to you they gain respect from you, allowing promotion to become so much easier.

Do you have insights on how to grow your audience on soundcloud that you want to share with our audience?
Soundcloud although is about producing as much as you can, it is also about getting to know the right people, don't be scared for people to neglect to respond or don't back down if you think someone is too popular if someone knows the music industry they should be able to find potential in everyone, this is something that everyone needs to remember. So go out and email or DM some artist, it can only help you if you are being genuine and nice.

What has been your biggest challenge right now? Have you been able to overcome that challenge? If so, how?
Learning to use Social Media to promote my music. I searched high and low and looked at all the information that I could muster to find out that the way I was using social media was all wrong. Stay consistent but not overwhelming to the audience and add in things about your day, not just music.

How do you personally discover new music?
I like to look on social media and look up the terms related to the types of music that I am listening to and I branch off from that.

What is your number one tip to improve your music production or songwriting skills?
Find your voice, you need to record the same song not just once but at least 7 times. This will help you find the best recording and allow you to experiment with settings to find what range of your voice and which settings work best with the song. The overall presentation of the song can change it from a hit to a bust.

What is your best tip for those who struggle with finishing their tracks?
Try to keep it simple, when ending a song don't write lyrics down but yet remember earlier lines and put them to the beat, staying calm and on beat. This really ties the song together and shows how the whole thing is one big story. If you do this right you should really see how your songs end with meaning, and not just another random amount of lines.

We meet again in one year. What has changed?
I try to be better than myself every single day of my life, although fall throughs occur we must know we are human and that only more success is to follow. I have made a lot of mistakes during the making of this album and I completely regret all of it, I see now what my life is, and how people try to hold you down, but you got to push forward. So in my case if you saw me in One Year, I hope that I am a better me, someone that never stopped working and tried hard for his dream, although I may not be successful, even though I hope to be, at least I can say I made progress.
