Please tell our readers who you are and what you do?
It's me, the one and only CountedGnome ( ?° ?? ?°). For those of you that aren't familiar with me or my work, i am an electronic music producer that loves to make all kinds of electronic music. I've made: Drum & bass, Synthwave, Future bass, Neuro, Electro, etc. I became involved in music production about 4 years ago, when I stumbled across a really catchy 8-bit chiptune song and thought "Pfft. I could make something like that easily." Never could I have been so wrong in my life. These past 4 years have taken me on a journey down the music production rabbit hole, and im still not sure how deep it really goes. I got sucked into making electronic music and becoming better with every song I made, which brings me to where I am now :). I like to involve myself in the electronic music production community on twitch (creative). I find that the streamers there are extremely talented and helpful. Without the twitch community, I would have never gotten to where I am today, and I would never get to where im going in the future.
How would you describe your influences and how have they changed over the years?
I've always been extremely critical of electronic music that's extremely popular & extremely trashy or poorly made at the same time. I find music that's really well made and thoughtful to be my favorite, preferring to listen to people with relatively non-existent follower counts over people that have millions of followers but no taste. It is these underground, under-appreciated, and extremely talented artists that have helped me build my own production style and music taste. There is a staggering amount of unique talent in these underground production communities that cannot be found anywhere else. Over the years, producers have come and gone, and so have my tastes. To be completely honest, im still searching for a music style / genre that really speaks to me. Like I mentioned before, i've explored a wide variety of genres / styles of music, all to satisfy this search for what I want to make as an artist. I would call myself an explorer in music tastes, master of none (not yet anyways).
What´s new right now?
I just released a track called "CountedGnome – Clear Skies Ahead", and im super excited about that release. If you go on my soundcloud profile, you'll see that I havent released a song in almost a year. The reason for that is because I wanted to take time off publishing music to make something that was really worth listening to, and I believe that this track is it. Im always working on new music, so stay tuned. I have no live gigs or anything else lined up (sadly). I've sent my songs to a couple music labels, so it'll be interesting to see if I get on them. Otherwise, everything pretty smooth.

What is your number one tip to improve your music production or songwriting skills?
My number one tip to improve your music production skills is to involve yourself in a music production community. Personally I involve myself in the twitch music production community a lot, and I has helped me more than you can imagine. Get involved giving feedback on songs, receiving feedback for songs you've made, talking about audio engineering / music production, talking about ideas & techniques, etc.
