Please tell our readers who you are and what you do?

I am a music producer, DJ and audio engineer currently based in Norway. I make everything from Hip-Hop, RnB, Pop to electronic music and work with artists in similar genres. I studied Audio Engineering/Production at SAE Dubai and later did my postgraduate diploma in Music Production and Recording at the University of Stavanger. I also DJ at various venues in Norway, my sets usually consists of Pop, Hip-Hop/Rap and Electronic. The start of my career was in 2014, when I was interning at a recording studio in Abu Dhabi called White Cube L.L.C. Later on, I got inspired to study my field further and moved to Norway, where I am currently residing. I have met so many artists along the way, which lead to the opportunity to work on several projects with them. You can check some of the released content on my Soundcloud Page: https://soundcloud.com/daarchitecht

How would you describe your influences and how have they changed over the years?

I grew up in a household where Gospel music was played everyday. I had my early years of my life growing up in Kerala, India, where I was exposed to different types of Indian music. My grandfather would always play Indian devotional music every morning. When I moved to the UAE, my father would play Gospel music. It was only in high school where I was exposed to commercial music. My friends would make me hear artists like 50 Cent, Eminem and Black Eyed Peas, but what really caught my attention was a Game record, which was produced by Dr. Dre. I loved the way it sounded, the clean punchy mix. The lush soundscape and space made me realize this sounded different to other songs I have heard. I started hearing every song produced by Dre and compared it to every other producer. It just changed the way I heard music. Ever since then I realized, I want to do music. I was also a huge Timbaland fan before I heard of Dr. Dre. I got inspired to make beats after I saw a video of him showing beats to Jay-Z in the studio. So I decided to do music production after school. Working in a recording studio also taught me a lot when it comes to working with sounds. The studio also taught me how to work with artists which was really important to know. Every artist I got to work with, made me better. Making mistakes lead to me make a better record next time. Till this day, I'm still learning and I don't think I'll ever stop learning because that's how vast and beautiful music is.

What´s new right now?

I am currently working mainly as a DJ. There are a couple of projects under works but can't say anything until it's been released. I'm also trying to get some beats out to some artists here in Norway. I think there's some great talent here and I believe the Scandinavian market is the next big thing. You can already see the influence of Scandinavian artists and producers in mainstream entertainment. I hear a lot of really good content coming out of Norway in particular. So I'm chasing artists in hopes of working with them because I love to keep working on music. I sometimes release my own music and mixtapes on my Soundcloud, so be on the lookout for that. All the details on released projects are posted on my artist page on Facebook.
