Hello ,
I am DJ HOUZ. Im a 17 year old DJ and Producer from Dortmund , Germany. I produce Future and Bass House music and have been signed to several Labels this year. My soundcloud has expanded from 1000 plays a year to already 38000 plays this year. I appreciate all the love I get from my fans and I thank every one of you for taking part in my Journey.
How would you describe your style and genre?
I combine Future House with Bass House and make even the most jazzy tunes get housy
Who are your biggest influences and idols … and why? Do you have any idols? Are you a super fan of anyone? (Dead or alive, musician or non-musician)
My idols are Cuebrick , Niels Van Gogh and Moksi. These guys are just so awesome they show what hard work pays off to. These artists work harder and harder to make their dreams come true and I want to live the same way.
What´s new right now? What should our readers know about that is coming up from you?
Im Playing the Farbgefühle Festival Bochum on the 8th of July and I am planning a new EP release 😀

What was the biggest mistake you made when you started making music and what would be the number one tip you could give to a newcomer musician?
Never dream too big , let the things come slowly and big things happen over time. The right moment just has to come =)

How do you get gigs? Can you share any tips?
I get my gigs myself by just Chatting up different event managers. If you really want to play somewhere keep at it until you finallyget there 🙂 Showing your effort in trying to get the gig always shows your love for the Job.

What has been your biggest challenge right now? Have you been able to overcome that challenge? If so, how?
My biggest challenge right now is getting ready for the Festival. I have never played in front of such a huge crowd and im really excited and overjoyed 😀

How do you promote yourself? Do you have any specific promotion tips for other musicians?
I use my Instagram livestreams, join DJ Contests , Use Facebook and all my social media networks. But mostly i use hashtags which let you get a better reach but also I get invites to Radio Shows and that all ets my name out there. My tip is Try and build your audience on the social networks as link sharing will be more affective then.
