DJ Little Ale

Read the DJ Little Ale Interview below and share it on social media.

Please tell our readers who you are and what you do?

Even when the electronic dance music scene came up with a lot of new faces and names, a DJ was not a child's play.
Up until after Wonderfruit Festival Thailand back in February 2017 where the name DJ Little Ale was hitting the world by storm, then Youngest DJ term suddenly became common in the household.
Growing up in Bali with a father who has been in the entertainment scene for more than 15 years, has given me a heads up about what DJing was all about.
My very first gig in Wonderfruit Festival became a worldwide news. I was really Wonderfruit Youngest DJ, and performed in front of I was also featured in my favorite Brazilian duo producer, Dubdogz latest music video "Like Love" which was shot in Bali island.
My return to Wonderfruit Festival in December was very much anticipated by the festival goers. They were coming to see the Youngest DJ. This time, many people spotted me in the festival from my previous gig and who have already heard about me before, taking photos and wearing my caps and tshirt.
During my set, I brought groovy and tribal tech house and adding the jungle vibe to Rainforest Pavilion. The stage was packed once more and people were left in awe of how an 8 year old girl rocking a dance floor with a charm and an adequate technique.

How would you describe your influences and how have they changed over the years?

I listen to many different kind of music. I listen to pop songs as any 8 year old would, but my mom and dad also play numbers from Bob Marley and Michael Jackson. I play many remixes of Brazilian bass and nu disco from Brazilian producers like Dubdogz, Bhaskar, and Vintage Culture. Lately, I have been mixing it up with tribal and tech house for my sound influenced by Mat. Joe, Fisher, David Tort, Javi Colors, and Format B.

What´s new right now?

I have been playing the piano since an early age, and I love the beat. And now, I have been in and out the studio to record my first single due to be released by the beginning of 2018 with Alex Seda, a house producer from Miami. It is still early for me in producing on my own, but as in writing lyrics, make some harmony and making the beat, I am a fast learner.
I also try to make a weekly live set mix in Bali Praia studio in Bali.
