Please tell our readers who you are and what you do?

Hi, Im DJ M@STADON. Born and raised in Cleveland, Oh but now a resident of the US Virgin Islands. I have been DJin since 2006. I started in my college days doing some basic parties and small clubs with mainstream music and mostly Hip Hop and Reggae/Dancehall. In 2010, I purchased a Native Instruments Maschine production platform. I was intrigued by the "hands on" elements native instruments brings with its product. From then on I have been producing tracks in the genre of Dance, Pop, EDM and House. I absolutely love the genre of house and techno music. I believe its the bridge to all the other sub genres of house and EDM. My dream is to become a great House/EDM genre DJ and make music that people love to dance and listen to.

How would you describe your influences and how have they changed over the years?

In my earlier DJ years I was influenced by some local Cleveland talent, mainly from radio shows that played mostly Hip Hop. As far as Reggae/Dancehall a lot of my passion came from a local Virgin Islands artist named DJ Avalanche. Reggae/Dancehall is a passion of mine because it is so culturally different then what I normally listened to in the United States. I am a eclectic person when it comes to music. I love Dancehall, Zouk, Soca, Reggae ton, Jazz, Hip Hop, House, Classical and so many other genres. I believe listening to so many genres of music will open my eyes to new potential ways to express myself through music. As far as some of the big name influences I would have to say Lex and Wood, Tchami, Laidback Luke, Diplo, Pitbull, Martin Garrix, Becky Hill, Bingo Players and Watermat just to name a few.

What´s new right now?

Currently , I am developing my craft at producing tracks and learning as much as I can about being a DJ/Artist. Below on my soundcloud you will be able to hear some of my latest creations which include original and remixed material. My plan in the next two months is to post on YouTube live DJ mixes.
