Please tell our readers who you are and what you do?

I am an electronic music producer from Tucson, Arizona. I make house music but I also dabble in ambient and drum & bass. I love working with analogue synthesizers and antique gear and I believe that, with them, you can explore the uncharted sonic territory that just isn't possible with digital software. I am currently releasing singles but I am looking to finish my first album in the near future.

How would you describe your influences and how have they changed over the years?

My influences have gotten more and more abstract as time has gone on. I started with artists such as Deadmau5 and Skrillex, the big names in electronic music back when I first discovered it. I found Pete Tong on BBC Radio 1 and my whole world changed because I was hearing all of these new artists from across the globe and genres I had never heard of. There was so much more beyond these big names, and I wanted to be a part of it and share my take on it. Nowadays, I am really into artists such as Cubicolor, Rival Consoles, Hot Since 82, and Lane 8. I think they all have so much to offer and I definitely look up to them as some of my top idols. My other influence/ inspiration is Tat, my little black cat. She likes to sit in the studio and listen to what im up to. She makes most executive decisions for releases.

What´s new right now?

I am currently working on some upcoming singles for 2018. I am very excited to release them! I am also working on my first album, and that is a big landmark I want to accomplish this year. If anyone wants to stay updated for when I release music, follow me on Instagram, Twitter, and SoundCloud. That is where I am most active. Check out the links below this interview to follow me and listen to my music!

Are you a superfan of anyone? How did you become a superfan? Do you remember how you become a fan and what turned you into super fan? Have you ever thought about why you´re such a fan?

What was the biggest mistake you made when you started making music and what would be the number one tip you could give to a newcomer musician?

When I started making music, I thought everything I made was worth a release. When I sat down at my desk with an idea, I thought it always had to lead to a great song for my SoundCloud page or my website. When these ideas didn't form in the way I envisioned, I would get discouraged, but ultimately, I would release the songs anyways. That was definitely not the way to go about it. The thing about ideas is that they are just framework. You can make a killer beat or a stunning melody, but not everything you make has to be released or even finished into a full track. Everything you make is practice, whether you release it or not. You are always making music! These little projects can always be pulled up again and incorporated into another track. The most important thing about being an artist isn't having mass amounts of releases, it's about being well and truly proud of what you have made.

How do you personally discover new music?

I discover new music by listening to radio shows, my favourites being Pete Tong on BBC Radio 1 and 'Oddtronica' on SoundCloud. They give you a really wide spread of music that is usually from smaller artists in the scene, especially 'Oddtronica'. When I find an artist I like, I tend to follow them and listen to their releases and even listen to who they follow. That's a great way to find people you would have never found otherwise.
