Please tell our readers who you are and what you do?

Hi, my name is Rodrigo but most people, especially in the nightlife scene know me as DRIGAO aka THE TROPICAL BASS(TERD).
I'm a DJ with Brazilian roots, based in Belgium and with an enormous passion and love for MUSIC!
A musical love & passion that I've been sharing with the whole world for 10 years now.

How would you describe your influences and how have they changed over the years?

My influences always came from great artists, DJ's and Producers starting with the 2 DJ's that taught me most of the things that I know today, they are DJ Twelve & Mr Rafa. Because of them sharing their years of experience and knowledge with me got me where I am now.
My music taste goes really wide. I just really love GOOD MUSIC, Music that you listen to and feel that it was made with love and passion.
My personal musical preferences can go from EDM to URBAN and can even go to Brazilian Bossa Nova sounds when I want to relax my mind.
I do have to admit that the influences that I use for my DJ sets nowadays have changed a little over time, I used to be known as a "LATIN" DJ because of my roots and also most of my gigs were always in the latin scene.
But over time I was able to show the world that I had more musical knowledge than just Latin music by creating my own party concept FAVELA DE LUXE & by starting my own radio show (The Drigao Show) on the urban radio station called RADIO STAD in my hometown Antwerp city.
By combining URBAN SOUNDS with EXOTIC VIBES (Moombahton, Dancehall, AfroHouse, Kuduro, Favela Baile Funk …) I quickly changed my reputation from "Latin" DJ to THE TROPICAL BASS(TERD) artist.

What´s new right now?

I've just released my 1st official mixtape (of the many more to come) on my mixcloud page.
You can also hear me on my radioshow (The Drigao Show) every SATURDAY from 22h til MIDNIGHT on the Belgium radio called RADIO STAD 107.8 (Antwerp). The music lovers all over the world can stream us live on the internet (Link will be posted below)
Me and my association BEASTS ENTERTAINMENT organize various nightlife events and we already got some cool stuff coming up for 2018. So YES a lot to look forward to.

What has been your biggest challenge right now? Have you been able to overcome that challenge? If so, how?

I think my biggest challenge has been putting my name out there and get recognition & credibility, When i started doing what i do back in the day (10 years ago) those music styles that i do were really underground,so i had to keep on pushing myself and also convince myself to NOT give up. It was a struggle but now i'm glad that kept on going and still will .

How do you personally discover new music?

The #1 place to find new music is always SOUNDCLOUD but lot of time you can also find lot of music on music blog or on special channels on youtube.

Once you discovered new music, do you tell others about the new music/artist you discovered? If yes, how exactly?

“Yes offcourse, I think that we should all support each other and push each others work.

I do it most of the time by posting it on my social media platforms.

We meet again in one year. What has changed?

The plan is always to grow and do better and bigger things each year that goes by.
2 summers ago i started performing at some festivals.
Last summer me and IAMGUNZ did the double amount of the year before and hopefully we'll do much more next summer.
And me and my team of Beasts Ent. are also working on dope events for 2018.
I strongly believe that in 12 months we'll have a lot of thins happening
