Please tell our readers who you are and what you do?

I go by EQ. Its actually my initials and coincidently a big part of my job (laughs.) I'm a producer, beatmaker, writer, and also in studio engineer. I am a composer under BMI and I've had the honor to work and develop with major artists and i'm still working on more.

How would you describe your style and genre?

I would describe my style as a musical type of Hip-Hop. As a musician I always try to incorporate a more musically organic feel for my tracks, but style-wise I have done Westcoast, Eastcoast, R&B, and Trap instrumentals.

Who are your biggest influences and idols … and why? Do you have any idols? Are you a super fan of anyone? (Dead or alive, musician or non-musician)

Dr. Dre was actually my favorite producer before I found out it was Scott Storch on those keys man (smiles.) But definitely both Dre and Storch are some of the stuff I grew up listening to. I remember a while back you couldnt go through a neighborhood without hearing somebody bumping The Chronic 2001.

What´s new right now? What should our readers know about that is coming up from you?

I'm working on a few different projects right now that should be getting released soon. One of the biggest factors is dealing with the artists record label and what they think should be released, so we're just trying to get these tracks right.

How do you promote yourself? Do you have any specific promotion tips for other musicians?
I really just knock on doors. I was posting music online websites before i started sending my music directly to A&R's for different record labels and after that I've been getting reccomendations.
