Please tell our readers who you are and what you do?

I am Femmetastic, a female urban/eclectic DJ from Amsterdam. My DJ adventure started about five years ago in my hometown Amsterdam. Just like every other DJ I started spinning at local venues. Apparently my energetic urban/dancehall sets didn't go unnoticed and I got invited to spin at bigger venues outside of Amsterdam. After performing at several venues throughout Holland I started doing big festivals in Holland and International club gigs. So far I've had the honor to perform in countries like Engeland, Portugal, Spain, USA, Curacao, Belgium and my favorite place in the world since I have Surinamese roots: Surinam!

Since I'm quite the 'little miss get it done'; I host my own event at one of the most luxurious venues in Amsterdam named 'Supperclub'. When am I not doing 'Femmetastic' clubshows I tour alongside one of Hollands' top-selling female urban singers 'I am Aisha' (www.iamaisha.nl)

Besides the DJ decks I also hold a big passion for radio. I got the opportunity to host my own radioshow named 'Femmetalk'. During this two hour radio show I invite inspiring guests such like other DJ's, artists, entrepreneurs and motivational speakers.

How would you describe your influences and how have they changed over the years?

I'm a big fan of hard working females so I've always looked up to females in general who are most definitely #girlbosses.
I've always wanted to be an independent hard working lady. I stopped looking around and decided to work as hard as I could to call myself a #girlboss one day.
So it's not all about influences but more like a ambition and passion that has driven me up to the point of becoming successful. I love bringing strong independent working ladies together.
The music scene holds a lot of grudges and jealousy and I'm trying to work my way through that by uniting with other girls and put nice clubshows together.

Regarding my style; I can't say it really changed but it matured. Obviously I've grown as an individual and a professional throughout the years. I can tell by the way I dress, prepare myself for gigs or even the
choice in songs. I'm way more in touch with my audience than a few years ago.

What´s new right now?

I've recently got the opportunity to sign at an artist & branding agency named OHMYAGENCY based in Amsterdam. I knew that would be the chance to really work on the Femmetastic brand, bookings, socials and International career so I took the plunge and in just a matter of a short time it made such a difference! OHMYAGENCY took on a cool campaign for my latest mixtape named 'HOT COCO TAPE' and I even got selected for a mixtape battle for one of Hollands biggest radiostations 'FunX'!

I will be doing cool festivals in the summer of this year but I can't tell you which yet. Just keep an eye on my social media channels for the official announcements of these cool festivals and stages!
