Please tell our readers who you are and what you do?
I was born in 1978 and since I remember I like music, I am a dj of the old school, I started as a turntablist dj in 1993 I still love the scratch and started producing in 2010, all my life since I have use of reason I liked the music of the seventies, from the Disco, Funk, Soul, Jazz, that music has the most elegant original sounds with a lot of feeling.
When I started producing I always wanted to make editions with the sounds I liked the most from the 70s, with vintage kicks, rare hats, for me the most important ones are good old claps. I see it as an art to make old and forgotten songs come back to life, with sounds and fresher structures. I'm in love with the samples.
How would you describe your influences and how have they changed over the years?
My influences began with funk soul and breakdance followed by hip hop but the real hip hop of the 80s and 90s, then I started listening to Salsa, Reggaee, Latin Jazz and House Music. but I always fall in the same roots of music with groove as the Disco, Soul and Funk.
What´s new right now?
Hotmood started more than a year ago and it has been a fabulous year, thanks to the support of the label starcreature where I Released my first vinyl Hotmood Vol. 1 that made me known in the middle of the current disco music, then 5 more vinyles came in Starcreature, and 2 next come under the label of Hotmood records, one more on Whiskey Disco that has been a total success in total 11 vinyles this year on labels such as Starcreature, Whiskey Disco, Editorial Records, Sfsb and Whiskey Pickle and dozens of digital Music in differents labels.
Next year I am committed to making music with higher quality so that people who continue to enjoy more of my productions.
Next year Hotmood Records will be with all the groove.
