Intro/Verse

Read the Intro/Verse Interview below and share it on social media.

Please tell our readers who you are and what you do?

My name is Csaba aka Intro/Vers, a Hungarian fella living in Manchester, UK. I used to make really bass heavy music under a different moniker, but currently I'm experimenting with a much more instrument oriented, laid back sound. The bass-heaviness does remain though. My main goal is not to make dance floor shakers, but rather to make music that people actually want to listen to on the train, during studies, etc. Check my stuff out at

How would you describe your influences and how have they changed over the years?

My main influences come from old-school drum n bass and breakcore mostly. I'd say the fantastic label Planet Mu put electronic music on my radar, most notably Boxcutter and Venetian Snares. I listen to all sorts of music in general, my influences could be traced back to really old psychedelic rock, hardcore punk, jazz and even folk genres.

What´s new right now?

Currently I'm unsigned but have some really exciting collaborations and solo stuff in the pipeline. We're talking everything from trap, house, hip-hop, etc. All with that sweet chill and post-rock flavour. Head over to

What has been your biggest challenge right now? Have you been able to overcome that challenge? If so, how?

A massive writer's block. changed my process as to how I approach writing music and just let go of the shackles and boundaries other artists and ''professionals'' engraved in my mind. Stopped caring, just want to make my own thing, no matter what. It's quite liberating.

What is your number one tip to improve your music production or songwriting skills?

Separate sessions into arranging and sound design sessions. Don't care about any formula you're not comfortable with as it will end up in a writer's block.
Also, don't be too fussed about mastering, the punch and loudness comes from the mix!

What is your best tip for those who struggle with finishing their tracks?

Don't be overly critical of yourself. The flaws you might notice in your tunes, most people won't pick up on at all. Don't follow trends set out by other people, just stop caring about all this nonsense. It's hard but it does help in the long run. You do you, they will do them still.
