Read the Jamie O Reilly Interview below and share it on social media.
Please tell our readers who you are and what you do?
I am a 26 year old dj/prodcuer born and raised in Dublin ,Ireland.
I have always loved music regardless of the genre.I would listen to anything from Johnny cash to Metallica.
Always been keen on dance music, I used to be mad for a bit of hardstyle and trance haha.
I started djing in 2008 and attempted to slap my first production together around 2013.
I was instantly hooked with production and the djing took a back seat for a number of years.
In the last 12 months i have been restoring the balance with djing and production, I host my own radio show on Phever Radio(www.phever.ie) bi weekly from 4-6pm GMT.
I try to keep true to what i like and steer clear of the trends.
You can follow more updates regarding tracks and mixes on my soundcloud – – – https://soundcloud.com/jamie-oreilly
How would you describe your influences and how have they changed over the years?
I was influenced from a young age with my dad being an accordion player and piano player in Irish folk bands back in the 80's & 90's.
Kerri Chandler,Hollen,Prok & Fitch,Sidney charles are a few i would reference tracks from.
These days i try to take influence from any music I really enjoy.
My taste has never really changed, I still love all the music i grew up with.
What´s new right now?
I have a 4 track EP just about finished and will have more news regarding that in march.
I also have a 3 track EP with some jackin stuff just about done aswell.
I will be getting things moving a bit more in 2018 ?
