Please tell our readers who you are and what you do?
I am a 15 year old hip hop/trap producer from Canada. I make hip hop/trap instrumentals for rappers
How would you describe your style and genre?
Metro Boomin/Southside type beats. Gucci Mane type stuff too. Dabbling in J.Cole and Kendrick type production
Who are your biggest idols ever? Dead or alive, musician or non-musician.
Metro Boomin, Kendrick Lamar, Superstar O, and Dr. Dre
What was the biggest mistake you made when you started making music and what would be the number one tip you could give to a newcomer musician?
I didn't work at it enough I think. I also didn't learn enough about how to mix at the start. I would do those things differently if I had to do it again
How do you get gigs? Can you share any tips?
I mostly just reach out to rappers and try to send them beats.
What has been your biggest challenge right now? Have you been able to overcome that challenge? If so, how?
One of my biggest challenges is marketing and just networking. I bought a book to help so I need to read that.
How do you promote yourself? Do you have any specific promotion tips for other musicians?
I promote through Instagram a lot. If I had one good tip it would be, be consistent. Consistency is key.
We meet again in one year. What has happened?
Hopefully I'll have gotten some bigger placements by then. Gotten my website up and running and getting consistent sales from it.
