Please tell our readers who you are and what you do?
Hello. My name is Joshua Sommer and I'm a Dj/Producer.
I was born in Balneario Camboriu, Brazil.
The city lives and breathes music, everywhere you go, you listen to some kind of electronic music, always receiving national and international artists in some of the biggest clubs in the world, such as Green Valley Nightclub and Warung Beach Club.
My first contact with electronic music was when my father was a Dj and Music Producer.
I used to watch videos when he was in his Europe tour in 2009, and listen to the song that he created with the musician Paulo Ricardo from RPM band called "Alexander Sommer Feat. Paulo Ricardo – Tonight".
After that, I started getting more curious about it.
Seven years later, in 2016, I've graduated at Aimec – "International Academy of Electronic Music" in Porto Alegre, Brazil.
At the end of 2016 me and my great friend Zecko launched our first worldwide release on DDD Music called "Distortion"
And in 2017 my project was born.
Joining forces with my friend and first manager Marcos Paulo, together we made it happen.
Performing in events in my city and in others states of Brazil.
Sharing the night with national and international artists such as Evoxx, Full Duplex, IBX, KAHSH, Loggic, Pimp Chic, Santiers, Sick Slow, Tiago Rosa, Zecko.
Being with my friend Kahsh performing at El Fortin Club (third best club in Brazil) when she played our song called "Joshua Sommer, KAHSH & Zecko – Lugar".
My farewell from Brazil to London was held at the event "Joshua Sommer and friends", it was surreal.
How would you describe your influences and how have they changed over the years?
It's just crazy how the world's culture can change as fast as my influences.
I'm always looking for new songs, new feelings.
But my main influences are what makes people dance, think and react to the good vibe.
At first I stayed with only one taste, but then I realised, we are surrounded by culture.
What´s new right now?
Nowadays, I live in London, England.
I've just released in collaboration with Kahsh and Zecko our song called "Lugar".
We are going to release an Remix Pack EP of the song "Lugar" which we invited the artists BAESiK, Loggic and SickSlow to join forces.
In pause until 2018.
For upcoming music I have launchings with Brazilian, British, Spanish, Hawaiian, British and Russian artists, I'm very excited to launch it!
Also I have a new management and live gigs for 2018 so stay tuned!
