Read the Kays Interview below and share it on social media.

Please tell our readers who you are and what you do?

Hey!
My name is Pablo, better known as Kays. I produce Chill out-Experimental music in a small town in Chile. My main goal is to make to feel something with my music.

How would you describe your influences and how have they changed over the years?

Right now my biggest influence is Flume, by far. I get inspired also by artists like Hillbom, Trails, San Holo, Marius, and pretty much anyone that´s innovating with his music.
I literally tried every genre possible before making the kind of music I´m doing now. In my old songs, you can find from Melbourne Bounce to Hybrid trap.
Now I´m really into weird music. It somehow grabs a lot more attention to me.
So you get my idea:

What´s new right now?

I´m really excited for what´s coming, the support has been amazing so far. There´s a lot I can tell you.
First, I´m working with some awesome singers and producers to release my first ep, that is coming soon.
I´m also starting this series of "performances in random places". Expect me to perform under a bridge, in a roof, whatever. Follow my facebook so you don´t miss it!

Are you a superfan of anyone? How did you become a superfan? Do you remember how you become a fan and what turned you into super fan? Have you ever thought about why you´re such a fan?

Sure. I would listen to Porter Robinson and Madeon since I was 12 years old, they inspire me like crazy. The music, the branding, everything seems so magical to me. My dream is to see them play someday.

What was the biggest mistake you made when you started making music and what would be the number one tip you could give to a newcomer musician?

I think that my biggest mistake was focusing only on making music, without a specific focus. I used to so many genres that people were just confused. I think you need to develop your own style in every way possible, that people would recognize with just seeing your photos, listening to your music, or even seeing your song artworks.

How do you personally discover new music?

I think the best/most original music out there is undiscovered. I usually search music by seeing who my favorite artists follows, or with his playlists. Also, there are labels you know are going to upload music worth listening. I recommend you checking out bitbird or daruma.

Once you discovered new music, do you tell others about the new music/artist you discovered? If yes, how exactly?

What is your number one tip to improve your music production or songwriting skills?

Information is everywhere, you just need to find it. I find extremely useful to search masterclasses of artists I like, but the best way for me to learn is by reverse-engineering. I recommend you to download project files from splice and seeing what techniques they use to make their tracks.
Feel free to download my projects! Here´s my last track:
