Please tell our readers who you are and what you do?
I am Nicholas Chipolina aka Konnformm ,a Breakbeat Dj / Producer that has been playing and writing music since an early age in Various Groups and a Dj For well over 15 Years now. I started producing my own music Properly in 2009 and Signed to Ultraphonix Recordings and Music Dark Records about 5 Years ago.
How would you describe your influences and how have they changed over the years?
My influences since day one Have been The Early Uk BigBeat/Breaks from 1997 onwards and the Late 90s German Electro Breaks & the Funky Florida Electro Breaks Sound,with a Great love for The Nu school era that rolled on in the early 2000's which saddly lasted for a few years only dying out and giving birth to a new breed of Dark and Heavy breakbeat which was called Tearout that also was shortly lived.I have allways tried to keep it 100% Breakbeat over the years adapting to the new Sounds comming out Either dark or the more Melodic feeling ,feel good Club type of breakbeat that to this day has taken the scene by storm in festivals aswell as in the clubs.Nowadays a new Flavour added to my sets is Bass Music ,a more Bassy Broken Beat type of breakbeat that is taking the breaks movement to the next level and keeping my sets Fresh and banging Either for the experienced Breakbeat heads or Newbies to the scene who are just getting into this style of electronic music.
What´s new right now?
I am currently Working on my Second E.P. "Roll With The Times ", a Uk Garage /2step /Bassline Sounding Breaks Ep With new Original tracks packed with Big Melodies,Snappy Vocals & Huge Bassline Crunching Sounds which will be realeased in the comming year.Apart from that i Will be Working on a few side projects i have in hand That will concentrate more on the Bass Music Side of things and a new Drum n bass Project down the line towards the end of 2018 .Be sure to check out my Past Releases on my soundcloud and keep up to date on my mixes and dj sets via Mixcloud.
