Please tell our readers who you are and what you do?
Kuosa is an Electronic Music Producer from the Central Coast, Australia. Kuosa’s music and shows are a packed with summer vibes and good times. Already having amassed over 350K streams on Spotify, Kuosa is ready to find an even larger audience in 2018. He’s reached radio listeners throughout Australia on his earlier self-released track “Take Me Down (feat. Sami Constantine)” and reaching even larger audiences with his single One Night (feat. HAYLEY). Now having just release his latest track Running On Fumes featuring Alexia Jade (www.soundcloud.com/kuosamusic) and with an EP in the works Kuosa is looking to make waves in 2018.
How would you describe your influences and how have they changed over the years?
My influences literally come from so many different genres and styles… I grew up listening to everything from Dire Straits and Fleetwood Mac to NOFX and Blink 182. I spent my younger years playing guitar in Punk bands, which still influences my writing today… I start most of my songs on guitar and transpose them into piano and then into Ableton. These days, I still listen to the classics but draw a lot of inspiration from anyone creating their own thing, even if an artist has a somewhat generic sound you can still hear if it's got a little heart and soul in it or just another song… I'm always looking for a little heart and soul.
What´s new right now?
Currently, I am in the midst of completing my first EP, which will be the first time I've ventured from releasing singles… I've actually got the tracks and music basically ready and now working with a few different vocals to complete the songs…. My live gigs and shows have come to a halt for now. I was diagnosed with cancer last January, not to go down the sad story path but my weeks are split between treatments / visits to the hospital and making music, the one thing that keeps me sane through it all. So really, my music and what I am doing now is trying to get my songs out there for there world to hear. My plans is to kick butt and beat this stupid disease which I will do and in the meantime try get my music out there along with the message, despite the worse of days theres always something positive to find and to me thats making the music I am making.
