Please tell our readers who you are and what you do?
My name's Kris (LANGUEDOC), I'm a 21 year old producer, musician, artist from Northampton, England.
I've been making music for about 10 years roughly from playing in small bands during high school, to more recently making music by myself.
I got into making music using FL Studio in 2011 and I've been going by LANGUEDOC for about 4 years now.
In that 4 years I've gone from making EDM, to Trap, to Soul-esque sounds – but more recently I've not been bothered by a specific sound or genre and I've just been releasing whatever I make.
How would you describe your influences and how have they changed over the years?
From a young age I was brought up listening to Motown, UK Garage, some 80/90's rock and in general just a whole load of different stuff – I wouldn't say that particularly affects the sound I create, but it definitely does give me some form of influence, mainly in percussive elements of tracks.
My personal tastes over the years have gone from one extreme to the other – I had my pop phase, emo phase, rap phase, punk and a whole load of other shit too. It just means I can listen to almost anything now and know I'll enjoy it, which is a bonus.
What´s new right now?
In terms of what's new – really nothing.
I've had a fairly busy year, I dropped my first EP 'ADULTCONTENT' (listen to that here: https://open.spotify.com/album/1ERckMsgppVGAi31zpZZcT) in August.
I dropped some merch this year for the first time (officially anyway)
I'm just getting myself ready to go hard in 2018 and make it the best year I've had yet (hopefully)
In terms of interesting shit in general, I've been exploring tons of different sounds and trying to mesh them into my own sound in the best way possible – there's gonna be a lot of exciting shit happen next year for sure.
In terms of releases, features, merch and hopefully some live shows around the UK (and maybe the world, if anyone wants to fly me out to the USA or somewhere to play a show then hit me up on the email)
