Please tell our readers who you are and what you do?
My name's Raphael, I'm a 24 years old DJ/Producer living in Brazil. I got my first guitar when i was 10 because of my brother (I wanted to play as good as him) and since then i knew i wanted to work with music. I also had singing and drum lessons for a couple years and had a couple bands, even winning a 'best singer' award in a band contest here in São Paulo with a cover of Iron Maiden's 'Fear of the Dark'.
Then I had my exchange year in school and moved for 6 months to Netherlands in 2010, and that's when my love for electronic music started. I saw how independent a dj and producer was and I was already a bit tired of having lazy bandmates, so I started learning how to produce and DJ.
I got a really nice release on Musicmasters Recordings for my track "Loving The Rush" with my friend 'Datti'(under my old name, 'Get High') that also was released on the biggest brazilian EDM compilation, 'summer eletrohits' and hit 100k+ plays on spotify. After that I had some personal problems and also struggle to find my identity as an artist, so i decided this year to take some time to study, find my identity and work on that.

I have lots on unreleased tracks that i'm finally getting to set deals with labels, so you can expect to hear lots of new music from me in 2018! I mainly produce EDM and Electro House because i really like the energy and vibe it brings to a club.
How would you describe your influences and how have they changed over the years?
I honestly listen to all kinds of music; I'm a HUGE fan of Iron Maiden, Jammie Cullum, We The Kings, and lots of other stuff ; In electronic music i think Dada Life inspires me the most, since no matter what kinds of track they're making, they always manage to make it sound like the Dada. This is the kind of identity i think every artist should look for, that even if you're making a different style, you still have your fingerprint on the track and people can notice it's yours. Merk & Kremont are also really good at it too!
What´s new right now?
I have a remix coming out between January and early february that i really enjoyed producing. I still have more tracks that i'm working on right now, including a follow-up to "Loving The Rush" mentioned earlier. I also have 3 tracks ready that i'm looking for labels to release and one free download coming before the year ends, so keep on eye on my pages to get it as soon as it gets out!
I'm working on a monthly podcast that i'll launch next year to showcase my new tracks, what i'm playing on gigs and listening to and great tracks from artists that are still didn't get a big exposure but have a lot of talent.
2018 will be a year with lots of great music, make sure to follow me so you won't miss it!

How do you personally discover new music?
I try to listen what other DJs are playing by going in clubs and listening to their sets and radioshows. Also if i like a track but I don't really know the work of who made it, I try to check more stuff from this artist and see if there's more stuff I like.
