Please tell our readers who you are and what you do?

Hello there. My name is Genaro Luna but go by the stage name of LuaKöttor. I have recently used this alter ego as a vehicle to explore the sounds and loops of Techno and underground electronic music however, I've been messing around, making music for over 3 years now. Besides Techno, I like to construct ambient works or introduce synth-wavy atmospheric vibes. I come from the Andes of Ecuador, where I gain a lot the initiative and inspiration to start these project. At any rate, I believe all good music should have a story, if not behind it, then telling one. I try to integrate this ideal into my music but its a slow process, specially when one is trying to absorb as much knowledge as possible. May sound cliché nevertheless, making music feels like a curiosity voyage and endless synths are my paddles. So I openly invite everyone to be part of it with me.

How would you describe your influences and how have they changed over the years?

Yes for sure. I actually started producing what nowadays is labelled as EDM. However, gradually I saw myself derailing from this direction and into another, a more dark and curious one. One I haven't been exposed to properly. That's when artists like Nina Kraviz, Ten Walls, DJ Tennis, to name a few, helped me to further explore the concepts of underground music. As an emerging producing, I try to act as a sponge and intake as much as I can, and then apply it. I don't want to be fixed into one style, I wish to be constantly evolving.

What´s new right now?

Exciting and non exciting stuff is happening. Lately, I've been vibing with a lot of of psychedelic and synth-wave influence and started working on an EP or something along those lines. So hopefully some of that material gets released. I'm currently collaborating with local artists and vocalists, so basically a lot of music ! To keep up to date with my latest music, I suggest to follow me social media links.

Are you a superfan of anyone? How did you become a superfan? Do you remember how you become a fan and what turned you into super fan? Have you ever thought about why you´re such a fan?

Super fan of Moderat right now. Because of the magnitude of their music production and their live show gift, truly amazing in my opinion.

What has been your biggest challenge right now? Have you been able to overcome that challenge? If so, how?

Translating what I have in my head into a musical work. Sometimes it doesn't work like that, that easy. Sound design has been a challenge for me since the start. I believe I've gotten better by not not producing 24/7. I'd only sit down and start messing around, when I have some spark in my head.
