My name is Pedro I'm a Portugal based musician. I make beats under the moniker M.A.F..
Recently I released my debut EP 'Wash' via NZ's Beatdown Bass.
How would you describe your style and genre?
I like to experiment with all kinds of different textures, samples and sounds, I make what I feel in the moment. I always gravitate towards bass music and ethereal beats.
Who are your biggest influences and idols … and why? Do you have any idols? Are you a super fan of anyone? (Dead or alive, musician or non-musician)
I'm influenced mainly by the people that surround me, I'm lucky enough to know a bunch of people that are really talented and creative, but I have to say that I always find in the producer Holly some light when the path gets darker. MF DOOM, experimental music, new york noise, TOHO movies, Hip-Hop culture, designer toys.
What´s new right now? What should our readers know about that is coming up from you?
I'll be dropping another single via NZ's Beatdown Bass after my debut EP 'Wash' . I'll have another single and a couple of new EP's with some other labels and the Vol.2 of my beat tape coming soon. I'm also starting to book some tour dates, don't be afraid to HMU at majesticasfck@gmail.com.

What was the biggest mistake you made when you started making music and what would be the number one tip you could give to a newcomer musician?
Definitely it was worrying to much about other people thought of my music and letting that getting in the way. Do what comes from your heart and don't be afraid to show it. Cliche but true!

Make music! Just do it! Do what you love and get surrounded by people who apreciate you!

We meet again in one year. What has changed?
Hopefully I toured in some beautiful countries and released lot's of music with the ones that I love. I will tell you that I was blessed enough to do what I loved in the past year.
