Please tell our readers who you are and what you do?
We are a duo from Lancashire in the north of England, Josh & Nath. After meeting and realising we both had keen interest in music and both owning a set of decks we decided to have a mix, from that night we both decided to start Djing and producing together. After a few mixes being put out, we got our first booking for Pier Jam in Blackpool supporting Hannah wants, Shadow Child & many more. This led to us playing on the Bass Jam & Lost in time events playing along side some of the worlds biggest DJ's such as Hardwell, Steve Aoki, Laidback Luke, Third Party & Many more. Over the last 12 months we have also got our first international booking playing for CRFTD at VIVA bar in ibiza, We Have also played for many other local events and venues holding down residencies for Symposium and FatGoose. In the summer of 2017 we also got to play our first festival playing for Restricted Forest.
How would you describe your influences and how have they changed over the years?
Our musical influences are quite broad and very similar and have changed vastly in the 3 years we have been djing together, when we first started playing our main interests was mainly in the EDM scene and our influences came from Steve Angello, Third Party & Kryder more towards the pumping groovy & progressive side of the vast genre. We both have interests in all forms and genres of electronic music having taken influence from djs such as Andy C, Sub Focus, Eric Prydz, Carl Cox and Fatboy Slim. I feel like we have both now found our preffered style of music within the tech, house and techno crowd and we follow djs such as Alan Fitzpatrick, Mark Knight, Roger Sanchez and all the defected team.
What´s new right now?
Over the next 12 months we aim to release a lot more music, playing shows and not having much time to get in the studio together really limited our track making in 2017 and this year we aim to get a lot more released. We have shows up coming for the massive Life in Colour UK show featuring Knife Party as well as sets for both of our residencies for Symposium and FatGoose. #WeAreMadhouse
