Please tell our readers who you are and what you do?

Hey I am a gay artist/rapper by the name of "Main Man Mingle" I am also a producer and audio engineer as well as a songwriter but mainly rapping. I am also 1 half for the band "Renegades Of You", I love music and writing songs and I tend to speak my mind and address the elephant in the room. "Hey mr elephant".....Lol... I originally was a garage DJ then a MC that is my background so from the start I was engaged to all genres of music, now I am married to hip hop though I still step out of the hip hop box a lot of the time and cover a lot of open ground musically. And yes I bring politics to music and tell talk truth at a time when it really matters. Intune Engineering is my audio engineering hub where I give my time to independent artist, labels and musicians making their records sound amazing is something I like doing and I am currently on my last year of Diploma for audio engineering.

How would you describe your influences and how have they changed over the years?

People smile and are surprised when I tell them who my biggest influences are, my favourite rapper is "Nas" but my favourite artist of all time is george michael, he is such a talent and I love his songwriting skills as well as his warm vocal and ability to write amazing well thought out and beautifully crafted songs, he has been a big inspiration to me and how I write from a diverse perspective talking about subjects that hardly make it to your ears and putting my twist on it. also the gay factor comes into play and that too has been apart of why he is my music god. Hip hop wise "Nas" is a living legend and there are some new good talent around like "J.Cole". I like artist like "Immortal Technique" who talk and uncover truth like I do so which is a dieing aspect of hip hop today so I am on my mission to keep it alive. "Damien Marley" and "Puzzle" are other artist I have high respect for, along with "Queen" (Freddie is a legend), Wiley from the U.K grime scene can put out some real hot music from time to time. "Jamie Woon" "Lupe Fiasco" these are the people I listen to when I want quality music time.

What´s new right now?

I just put out a new single "Cherry" produced by "DeeJay Pico" which I did with "Bit And Sound Music" the label I am affiliated with, I done another track with "DeeJay Pico" called "The Crown" which will be on his E.P certified hip hop classic keep your ears and eyes open for that. I just finished recording my next album "Contrast" so that will be on the way in the new year, but you have "Alias Mingle" to enjoy which is my current album which has a whole bunch of anthems on it mainly produced by myself. I will be putting out some fresh single in the meantime got so many ideas bouncing about it can be hard to nail down the next record to release out of the "Main Man Mingle" catalog but "Rich Man's Dream" is a single my big bro likes a lot and hopes I release it soon while "Give It Back" is a track I am currently working on with Italian rapper "Patto" which is a hip hop colossal monstrosity. So much so little are gonna love what I have up my sleeve. Please go and support my music I am doing this for you the music lovers and the ones who love the art of music, that's where I am coming from and who I do this for and who I am....... I plan on sticking around and being a source of real good music for those who still want it not diluted or watered down.

Are you a superfan of anyone? How did you become a superfan? Do you remember how you become a fan and what turned you into super fan? Have you ever thought about why you´re such a fan?
