Please tell our readers who you are and what you do?
My name is Martin, and I´m a Dj/Producer from Denmark. My Dj/Artist name is: Mar10n.
I have always listen to music. Music from Holland and Germany. Charly Lownoise & Mental Theo, Mark Óh, Dj Tiestô. They were the reason why I wanted to be a DJ. So I bought a couple of CDJ 500 and started a mobile disco, which I called: Escape 2 Dreamland;) in 1997. I also played at some local discotheques back then, but mostly mainstream music.
Held a break from Dj íng due to personal reasons. In 2012 I started to Dj íng again with a partner, and in 2014 I started for myself as Mar10n.
I was a Resident Dj in BAR50 for almost 3 years in Copenhagen which is Europe´s biggest Hostel. Played In Amsterdam (Auditorium), ELECTRO DAY (Køge) and for the last two years, I´ve been one of the Resident Dj´s at Generator in Copenhagen. My Dj genre is House, Deep House, Progressive House. I´m also guest Dj´ing for various radio / podcats around the world.
I started to produce music for 3 years ago. Bought a MAC & Logic, and had absolutely no idea, what I was doing. So thanks to YouTube and many many many nights, and it started to sound okay. I did a tropical/chill edit of : "Train-Marry Me", and knew right away, this could be my "Breakthrough" on Soundcloud, and it did.
In march 2017, I got my first official release, with: "YOUNIVERSE".
How would you describe your influences and how have they changed over the years?
When I started as Mar10n, I played mostly EDM, Avicii, Swedish House Mafia and other EDM artist´s. Suddenly KYGO appeared on Soundcloud. Never heard of him before, and listen to his remix of: "M83 – Wait", and then I discovered Tropical House for the very first time. I knew that was the way to go, and because Tropical House still was a "new genre", I got a lot of Dj jobs back then, because I could play and had a lot of Tropical House music, also unreleased tracks from producers from Soundcloud.
My Dj set has changes over time. Meanwhile when I was Djíng with Tropical, I listen to a lot of Deep House,Electronica, House, Techno, and used it for many of my Radio/Podcats. So now Im only play these genre´s in my sets, and I have never been happier about Djíng.
What´s new right now?
I have been working really hard, for six months now, and in the beginning of 2018, my first EP will be ready. You could say, Its a new Mar10n, and a lot more darker sound. Progressive House, Techno. Really excited about this project. The EP will contain 4 tracks, there are 90 % finished.

Are you a superfan of anyone? How did you become a superfan? Do you remember how you become a fan and what turned you into super fan? Have you ever thought about why you´re such a fan?
I remember the first time, I saw the music video with a talking Dog, walking around New York City with a Ghettoblaster, and played "Daft Punk – Da Funk". Amazing track ! Im still a fan to day, and still have some of there old tracks in my set´s. I think that Im still a fan, is the music is Timeless. Back then, when they released "One More Time". I couldn't figure out, why it was such a big hit. Same loop again & again. But the song is simply brilliant. Its one of the TOP 5 best dance track ever made.

I follow many Dj´s/Record Labels Podcast on ITunes. Listen to Soundcloud. So many talented unsigned producers out there.

What is your best tip for those who struggle with finishing their tracks?
I had the same problem. You create something cool, and suddenly your stuck, can't get it done, and then your hearing the same loop over and over again, until you start hating the track.
What I do is, one day I only work with the Baseline. Mute everything else, except the Kick. The next day, I work with some chords, and then I mute the Baseline. The end of your studio session, un mute it all, hear it all together. Thats what I do ?

We meet again in one year. What has changed?
Hard to say. I very excited how my new music will be received. Really believe it can take me a step further. But lets talk again, in 12 months. Im pretty sure I can tell you some amazing stuff ?
