Read the Mark Vank Interview below and share it on social media.
Please tell our readers who you are and what you do?
I'm a Dominican DJ & Producer under the name of 'Mark Vank'. I started as a DJ in 2014 and created my first composition a year later. In 2016, I created my Soundcloud Profile to share my work and two years later, I managed to reach a fanbase of over 21.000 in Soundcloud alone; also creating multiple networks for artist's to share their work.
I'm frequently known for my heavy approach to EDM. Although, I've been moving to Contemporary Hip-Hop & R&B. You'll be able to get a first taste of my R&B on January 30 through AIA, so stay tuned for that!
You can take a listen to my latest release alongside Spinnin'-signed Producers "VOVIII" here.
How would you describe your influences and how have they changed over the years?
I find myself more influenced by underground producers. The instrumentation I gravitate towards is either Hard EDM or Contemporary Hip-Hop/R&B. When I first started taking an interest in music I loved Dubstep. Although, I eventually moved to Mainstream House, like Big Room, then to Hard EDM. My taste has definitely changed over time. On my most recent side, I’ve been experimenting with Hip-Hop & R&B because i find more passion behind it.
What´s new right now?
I'm currently polishing some EDM Projects and many R&B Instrumentals. I’ve also spent a lot of time doing collaborations, which is a great way to make connections. I'm really excited for 2018.
