Please tell our readers who you are and what you do?
I am a 17 year old producer and Dj from Peru, i like all type of music, from indie to electronic music, but i mostly produce deep house or chill music. I started producing and mixing two years ago and is something i love doing. I learned everything i know by myself and i want to learn even more. For this Im always watching tutorials and asking for advice to different people, including people who sometimes comment my tracks. I like receiving feedback, its a way to improve in especific points.
I like creating and trying new things while producing but at the same time i like to make my tracks in a simple but goodsounding way. For example my remix for "Hungry" by Dotan (https://soundcloud.com/mateo-cortez-6/hungry-dotan-mateo-cortez-remix) its really simple but is a really good track.
How would you describe your influences and how have they changed over the years?
I always liked all type of music. Sometimes i hear reggae, others i jump to 80s rock, or sometimes i listen electronic music. I like to hear a bit of everything.
I started producing only bigroom tracks, but during the passing of time i started discovering other types of music likr deep house and i really like it a lot, and actually is more popular than bigroom, at least in my country, but i always try to create different things and to combine different types of sounds.
What´s new right now?
Im not very popular yet, i try to promote myself talking with friends and family and that is why i do not have so many live gigs.
Im working on a new deep house track, it is almost ready but i have to work on it a little bit more. im using a very known peruvian vocals and i hope that when i release it a lot of people can hear it.
