Please tell our readers who you are and what you do?
My artist name is Maxthor and I'm a musician/producer based in Spain. This project started in 2014 with the release of an EP called "Black Fire" and two years after that I released my debut LP, "Another World". I've also made some 80's classic tunes covers and collaborations with other artists. My track "Buried Deep Inside" is part of "The Summoner" OST by the director James Secker.
How would you describe your influences and how have they changed over the years?
I guess you can label my music as "synthwave" but I mix some other influences such as Italo Disco or 80's classic rock. I started playing music as a drummer in a black metal band so metal is a huge influence too. Some of my favorite 80's artist are Michael Cretu, Phil Collins, Modern Talking and Ronnie James Dio. I would say my taste hasn't change radically over time but nowadays I'm more open-minded to new styles. For example I listen to a lot of good quality mainstream music.
What´s new right now?
The next thing I'm releasing is an awesome vinyl edition of my LP "Another World" through Electronic Purification Records that will be out around March 2018. I'm working on new tracks right now so I hope to release a new EP or album in a few months too. About the live gigs, that's a thing I'd love to do but I'm involved in other projects and that takes time. Anyways, that's something I have in mind so you can expect Maxthor live shows in the future. What was the biggest mistake you made when you started making music and what would be the number one tip you could give to a newcomer musician?
Making mistakes is the only way to learn so don't be afraid and take risks. My tip to a newcomer musician would be: Try to impress yourself and don't worry about how people will react to your music. If you do that, you'll be happy no matter how many followers you have.

Try to understand music theory because it's more useful than you think but don't get stuck in that. If it sounds good to you, trust it.
