Please tell our readers who you are and what you do?
Hi, I´m Mike Maertens. I´m a Dj/Producer from Portugal that loves all music. I discover this passion with 9 years old and wanted to do this as my life. I mainly produce and as a DJ I mainly perform in Summer. I´ve very good feedback from big names on industry such as Timmy Trumpet, ANG and others.
How would you describe your influences and how have they changed over the years?
My taste in music, till now, never changed. I like almost every styles of music from Classic to Heavy Metal, Chill Out to Hardstyle. It does n´t matter the style, if a song is good and captivates me to listen it. When I was 9 years old I heard on the radio a song from Tiësto – Traffic. In the first moment that I heard this song I felt in love, so I search musics from him and discovered the EDM world.
In the begginig of learning process he was my mainly influence but in the following years I started to discover more and more artists and learning more styles. In this moment my mainly influences are Illenium, W&W, ANG, Manse, StadiumX, Maddix…
For producing they are my mainly influences but as a Dj, when I act at a Festival or a Party my taste of music is different, in Festivals I play more Dubstep, Trap, Trance (almost all sub genres), Big Room, the more festival genres of EDM. I try to read my audience before I act so I can beggin with a banger and captivate their attencion. And I try to make the hole set energized with known bangers and not so known ones to give audience a new presepective, that no so well known artist can make very good music because many people only dance to one song even, in my prespective, as an artist or a person that likes music is good, but they still dance to it because is from a certain artist.
What´s new right now?
At this moment I´m investing my spare time in learning more and more, producing and sign musics with companies.
My song "Raggaton" it will be out soon on Ensis Pulse, sub label of Ensis Records. I will post on my social media updates of this song, so stay tuned.
I´m trying to collect dates to act in Festivals to next year and I will start announcing dates soon.
