Hi readers,
My name is Mike Ocean, 20 years old producer from a small town in The Netherlands.
I started getting into music when I started playing piano at the age of 5, after years and years of just playing piano I got bored and started searching for something else to do with music. This is when I found the software FL Studio.
Right now, after releasing multiple remixes and own tracks I really found my own style that people enjoy. This is what motivates me every single day to continue this wonderfull journey together with my followers.
My style is a mix of a really refreshing kind of future bass, combined with alot of pop influences. I like to use alot of real instruments and recordings in my songs that really give that refreshing feel.
How would you describe your influences and how have they changed over the years?
I would say my musical taste really changed over the years. If I look back at my old projects, I used to make alot of progressive house and trance. But after seeing the future bass/trap scene really take over on platforms like youtube and soundcloud, I was willing to give that a try. I still don't regret that change, since I really did my own thing with it.
Currently I listen to alot of producers like; Medasin and San Holo. Especially San Holo which is really taking over the scene!
