Please tell our readers who you are and what you do?

I am Miret, music producer, dj and live performer.
Mostly, I make low bpm dance music blending organic and electronic music. I like to record live instruments, sample from vinyl, radio, tv or wherever, and use hardware and software instruments and devices, then mix all of these techniques.
I am very emotional and dreamy, and I think that translates into my music.

How would you describe your influences and how have they changed over the years?

My influences are very broad, and rather than changing over time I feel they have been expanding.
I get inspiration from the landscapes in Mexico, where I was born, from the mediterranean, where I was raised, from the many places I've travelled to and from the people an situations in daily life. Therefore in my music you can find elements that evoke the desert, the caribbean sea etc.
Musically I've explored many traditions, and played many styles, from punk rock to techno to didgeridoo performance, which with years have developed into what my music is nowadays.

What´s new right now?

At the moment I am using my time in winter to produce a lot of new tracks as well as to do remixes for some very talented friends.
I have an upcoming Ep coming up in February in the Brazilian Tropical Twista records, and hopefully a few more Eps coming along this 2018.
I am playing regularly in Barcelona, and will be around playing in Berlin, Brussels and some other European cities this winter and spring.

What has been your biggest challenge right now? Have you been able to overcome that challenge? If so, how?

I got my computer and all external hard drives stolen in summer, so I had to start from scratch. Even though at first it was hard I've tried to take the best out of it and start fresh with more focus and energy.

I discover new music mainly from friends, and online via soundcloud, bandcamp etc
