must-come-down

Read the must-come-down Interview below and share it on social media.

Please tell our readers who you are and what you do?

I'm Must Come Down, an artist from New York City, I make synthpop and psychedelic rock, and I've been producing for about four years!

How would you describe your influences and how have they changed over the years?

Well when I first began producing, my biggest influence was Skrillex. He was so new and different and what he was doing really opened my eyes to the huge realm of possibilities in music. As I've moved away from dubstep and started focusing on pop and rock, my biggest influences are Porter Robinson, Madeon, M83, Pink Floyd, The Beatles, MGMT, and The Beach Boys. I also do take some influences from metal and alternative rock (Black Sabbath and Alice in Chains mostly) but in general, I focus on the lighter side of music.

What´s new right now?

I just released an EP with Soire Records called A Window For The Soul, which you can check out on SoundCloud! Also, I'm always writing new music and there's plenty more new material coming your way very soon. In the meantime, be sure to click on the links below to check out the rest of my music and to keep yourself up to date of what's going on with me! Thanks so much Traxx24 for this amazing opportunity <3 and love to everyone who has continued to support my new music! Cheers

Are you a superfan of anyone? How did you become a superfan? Do you remember how you become a fan and what turned you into super fan? Have you ever thought about why you´re such a fan?

I'm a huuuuuuuge fan of Pink Floyd. I just happened when I first listened to Dark Side of the Moon and I was instantly hooked. i've now listened to every album they've ever written three times through at least

What is your number one tip to improve your music production or songwriting skills?

There are so many great YouTube videos out there. Aside from that, some of the greatest tips I've learned is watching some of my peers livestream while in the studio. It's a great way to learn about how someone else might do something.

What is your best tip for those who struggle with finishing their tracks?

I tend to like to get all of the instrument parts down that I know I'll need when I first start a song. That way, if I have a basic structure in my head, it's easy to just tweak everything and go from there.
