Please tell our readers who you are and what you do?
Hi, I'm Nokae! I produce original electronic music as well as remixes of popular songs from time to time. A lot of my instrumentation, sequencing, melodies and chord progression are inspired by my favorite video game and anime soundtracks, and I also find a lot of inspiration in the countless electronic tracks that I've fallen in love with over the years. I think rooting my composition in video games and anime and building them up with the aspects of modern electronic music makes for a really fun and diverse sound, and more importantly allows me to put my own nostalgia into my craft and share it with people around the world. I hope that you enjoy my music!

How would you describe your influences and how have they changed over the years?
As mentioned before, I'm heavily influenced by my favorite video game and anime soundtracks as far as the structure and vibe of my tracks go. My inspiration for the production side of things (at least on a track to track basis) can't be pinpointed quite as easily, as it's a mixture of countless electronic tracks that I've listened to since being introduced to electronic music when I was 12. However, I do have some artists who played a key part in getting me into electronic music production. In 7th grade, my friend showed me deadmau5 for the first time, and I was absolutely floored. After listening to deadmau5, I was determined to make my own electronic music. I later discovered artists like Madeon, Savant, and Zedd, all three of them are still huge inspirations for me and influence my sound greatly. By then I was completely enamored by electronic music. After solidifying my taste in music, however, it would take another 2 years for me to get truly invested in music production. By the time I started making my own music, electronic music had already changed drastically. Trap went in and out of fashion, then future bass came along, it was difficult to keep up with these trends. Looking back on where I'd started with deadmau5 and comparing it to now where I listen to hundreds of different electronic music artists, each with their own sound (and many of which the average person has never heard of), I'd say my music taste has certainly transformed over time.
What´s new right now?
I'm more well known under the alias "Video Game Remixes", or "VGR" for short. I put most of my time into that project because, as a YouTuber, frequent releases are of the essence. I will be performing at the Mega Manathon at MAGfest as VGR. If you're going to be at MAGfest in January, I hope to see you there! As for Nokae, I currently have several tracks in the works that I'm really excited about, but none of them have solidified release dates yet, so stay tuned!
