Read the NOMAD* Interview below and share it on social media.

Please tell our readers who you are and what you do?

Zack Ramirez ( NOMAD*) 26 Currently Residing in Phoenix AZ. Born and raised Just outside of Chicago IL. Im all about finding the tunes that stir something deep inside me. Spanning across many genres. Whatever makes me move thats what im into. It could be House, Dubstep, Trap, Techno, Blvnt Records currations. Team supreme. Dirtybird. If you play me a song and I dig it then im into that as well. Electronic songs do something special when experienced thru a proper sound system. They move you in a way no other music does. You can fine tune electronic tunes unlike any other kind of music. If its all created electroniclly you can ususally control every single aspect of that sound and how its going to lay in a mix. The Sub Bass in electronic music is usually much heavier than any bass guitar. So if you dig you can find these tunes that will absolutley rock your body and lick your eardrums in the most pleasant way… Thats what I search for ! A bit of an Audiophile if you will. I also have a deep love for classic tunes and Mo-town tho. Female vocalists are my Favorite. Jazz lounge singers. Beautiful voices that have a certain Vintage charm. I cant help but remix that kind of music. I also love to produce Dubstep, House and Trap as well. Djing is one of the Biggest aspects of what I do. The presentation of the special tunes I dig for is very important to me. Wether Im trying to melt your face or take you on a Emotional journey. The techniques behind Spinning music and the gear to do it with is reallllyyyy big and important for me. Do it good and do it right. No sync buttons. Learn to match the beats of the music your trying to present. I dont like using mic’s either. Let your Presentation do all the talking. Im the proud owner of A Pioneer DJM-2000NXS as well as 2 Pioneer CDJ-900NXS. I get the pleasure of monitoring it all thru KRK Rokit 6 Gen 3’s and KRKs 10 inch studio sub. FL Studio 12 Start to finish. Native Instruments “Massive” is how I do all my sound design.

How would you describe your influences and how have they changed over the years?

My tastes span across almost every genre. Thus me choosing the name NOMAD* I can be reallyyyy into deep dubs one day then. someone drops a sick techno track and im all about the techno till I hear something else that pulls me back into another genre. My first big impact from music was Led Zeppelin. I went thru phases like every other kid. Punk rock. metal. indie. rap. But since finding electronic music and going to my first shows/ Raves. thats the genre i dont phase out of. there is so much of it that gets produced at a much faster rate then the rest of the music industry. If I dig. on Average I can find 5 New amazing tracks a Day. so im constantly engaged. the scene never dies. especially with all the bedroom producers these days (myself included) its almost hard to keep up with. I think in the begining I was drawn to Trap music. The bass was always very noticeable. It tends to have lots of mid range bass layered with sub bass. so the drops are always dramatic and bassy. Very HYPE music. as I have gotten more into the scene and calmed down a bit. I now look for things that are Produced extremley well. things that hit the cleanest and hardest. Its not longer about finding the Bass. its more about finding things that move me. I also have grown quite fond of dancing so House and Techno are alwasy HIGH on the list!

What´s new right now?

Re-posts are worth more than Money. So please please if your feelin something drop me a comment on the thing that moved you, or the lack OF things that moved you. I like feedback. good or bad.
