Please tell us a bit about yourself and your label. Where are you based, what genres & styles do you cover… And when/how how did it all start?

On Tracks Records is based in The Hague, The Netherlands. The label has hit the record button in the middle of 2017. As once mentioned by one of our artists, “Human League Records” aka On Track Records stands for establishing long-term and growing relations with artists apart from just being some label that sees an artist as its “catalogue number”. This simple wisdom comes from having different experience with record labels ourselves and understanding the fact that:

– As an artist I am not going to pay for my own music and its subsequent release (as this has become some practice for a record label to charge an artist for his/her music release)
– Getting some tips on improving the mix and things related to that cannot be ignored. In fact, it can be a great demo, but an artist has mastered the track in a manner that smashes the entire sound. Does that automatically make it a bad recording or discredit the artist? Absolutely not, as we can always feedback him/her on what has to be done and how. The end result – a lovely tune to listen to anytime & anyplace.
– Having a bit of faith in the artist is always a good thing. To receive messages that go as “we have listened to your demo and we believe it’s a great production, though we couldn’t find your profile on Facebook, thus we believe it’s not your work” can be extremely frustrating and/or simply disrespectful. In this regard, why is it so difficult to ask an artist to send a bit of a different version of a mix to finally allay the fears? It turns out, it’s “indeed” difficult since “we receive a lot of demos and we cannot reply to you” ?

One way or another, we focus on all electronic music genres since we believe that limiting ourselves to certain genres is also a direct limitation to both our listeners and followers. In this regard, On Track Records is thrilled by every demo we receive.

What are some releases our audience simply must check out? (Either new stuff or evergreen classics)

On Track Records is proud to be a homebase for Richard Passant, who is known to the music world as ElektroBin. His affinity with music began with learning how to play guitar that he patiently taught himself via an insatiable amount of practice and dedication. While listening to different styles of music ranging from classical, soul, funk, jazz, trip-hop, metal and others, ElektroBin first discovered music production in a distant 2001. Throughout all these years, fellow producers, sound engineers, DJs, have accompanied him and helped tremendously in nurturing the sound and making him grow as an artist. On April 22, 2017 ElektroBin together with On Track Records released Nouveau Départ, an incredibly mature and artistic album that features music of such genres as Electronica, Downtempo, Pop, Trip-Hop and many others.

At the same time, we strongly recommend to check out our latest releases by Nora Medin aka Fushtank, FEER, Syncbat, BassBasket, and REKLAW. Their sound truly represents Exclusive Music To Your Ears, a formula that we are and always be loyal to – delivering the best artistic sound that is up there.
