Please tell our readers who you are and what you do?
Hello! My name is Outlit. I'm an 18 year old Artist/ Producer/ DJ. Over the years I've made all different kinds of music from Indie to Metal to Electronic. Lately though, I've shifted my focus solely to creating hip hop/trap instrumentals for artists to take and do something more with. My last EP (Dream Incarnate) really didn't do numbers compared to my other work, and it opened my eyes to the fact that statistics ultimately pale in comparison to the feeling you get when you help someone out. The EP was an accumulation of about a year and a half of my favorite productions narrowed down to six songs. You can check out the EP here:

As far as electronic music goes, I'm taking a hiatus from making it under Outlit, however I will continue to release the songs I currently have when I see fit.

How would you describe your influences and how have they changed over the years?
I'd say my influences have greatly changed. 2013-14 was the period of time I made mainly dubstep and took inspiration from artists such as Excision and Downlink. 2015-16 was all about future bass influenced and experimental trap music, so I mainly took inspiration from Montell2099, Sango, Oshi, Sober Rob, Mr. Carmack, and others. 2017-The present, I've been taking notes from people the other side of the spectrum such as Metro Boomin and Zaytovin as my interests and desires within music have changed. Much like my music taste, I have evolved as a person, and I'm lucky that it's the person I want to be.
What´s new right now?
As far as my endeavors go, I actually just happened to start my own mixing and mastering company called 'Immortal Dynamics'. I was seeing more and more every day that more artists, especially on soundcloud, lack the technical skill to help their ideas reach their full potential (and believe me, there's no shortage of potential!). The whole point of Immortal Dynamics is to facilitate our clients' vision for their song, and help it become the best version of itself in the most cost effective way. We offer basic audio mastering services as well as tier-based stem mastering services which are tailored to your finances. As far as the musical side of things go, I'll be releasing instrumentals like the ones above on a more regular basis. On the Live end of things, I played three shows in the month of January (Oakland, Portland, LA), and I'm looking forward to play many more this year. I've also applied to every festival from Lightning in a Bottle to Santa Cruz Music Fest. Needless to say, my fingers are crossed!
