Please tell our readers who you are and what you do?
Hi, the name's Pierce, and my alias is PIERCEAVALON. I started making my own music right before my 19th birthday influenced by the aftermath (both negative and positive) of being kicked out of a rap group i was in with my friends while we were still in highschool. I was 16 at the time when i started out in any music related endeavor that wasnt school sponsored. I was the first one to be kicked out of the group before it initially disbanded after about a month.
Continuing on the (most likely horribly formed) idea from the paragraph above (or introduction rather), i will like to state that i wasnt really conscious of myself completely at the time of being in that rap group. Like the average kid who doesnt have a main click and just hangs out with every click in school, i believe that i was born out of that ethos……..Okay look, i was never the greatest writer in English class and will of always get a "C" based on my grammar. I have a very different writing style than anyone i know, and its spear headed by my love of watching TV. I am a book worm for movies just like a bookworm is for books. I am a maladaptive daydreamer and i am not a shame of it.
I wanted to create my own sound, and that is how PIERCEAVALON happened. I have many influences weather it be musical, televisonal, aesthetically, mathamatically rebellonessitcal (rebelling against the aesthetic of math by using normal logic to prove and debunk the notion that what is considered "pesudo" is actually wrong, and everything isnt what it seems), and anything that the omiverse has offered me so far that lead me into learning of Experimental Aesthetics.
My sound, is a mental open world full of everything from dreampunk (literary/book genre) to the person who disagrees with everything i stand for and it's derivative. I just want to be great and remembered as one of the greatest artists of my time that kids would be reading about in history books a thoasand years from now. That's all i want.
How would you describe your influences and how have they changed over the years?
