Please tell our readers who you are and what you do?

Hi everyone, my name is Igor (aka Pinclite) and I'm 22 years old IT student from Belgrade, Serbia. I do DJing as my hobby and passion since I was 17. That was the time I've got involved into the world of electronic music. I'm fan and admirer of many different genres of EDM such as House, Trance, Drum n Bass, Psy, Electronica, Dubstep etc. I always say that there are 3 types of music: the one for private listening, the one for work and the one for live events and you gotta have appropriate playlist for every occasion.

For me, being DJ means knowing how to select the right track to play in the right time for the exact audience. Technique is not a big deal these days, because modern equipment doesn't require much beatmatching skills, so everyone can learn how to be a DJ in a very short time, just like when you're learning how to drive a car.

I consider myself as a bedroom DJ, since I don't spend much time playing at gigs, maybe just few events yearly as one-time job.
My main project that I am known for and that connected me with many colleagues from region and all over the world of electronic music industry is my weekly 'Experience Podcast' on Mixcloud, which I'm really proud of.

How would you describe your influences and how have they changed over the years?

As I mentioned in previous article, the main focus in my work as a DJ is 'Experience Podcast' that I've started at the end of 2013 and I'm still running it with the same love and passion as I did at the beginning. It was my wish to share and promote good and fresh modern electronic music with my friends, but I didn't have on my mind that it could become my trademark over the time neither I expected that it will maintain that long. With time, it became a routine, like drinking morning coffee or going to school, and now it is essential part of me.

As regards music, the golden age of electronic music in general was period (roughly spoken) between 2008 and 2013 and that was the peak for my favorite Progressive House, that nowadays barely exists. That's why I included so-called throwback feature into my podcasts, to evoke memories on some of those wonderful tracks back in time. As the most inspiring artists I emphasize Swedish House Mafia trio at the first place, then Eric Prydz, Knife Party, The Prodigy, Daft Punk, Mark Knight, Tiesto, Above & Beyond. Their music is simply legendary and timeless.

My taste hasn't been changed over time (that's the music that I privately listen, as I said earlier), but the music for work has changed totally. I consider this 2017 year as one of the worst for electronic music, because of some sort of supersaturation. There are too many "new artists" that just copy others music and release it for money, following the trends which are very miserable (honor to individuals). In my opinion, with growing population of Future Bass genre and its variations, the music has been killed. Let's hope that 2018 will make things better!

What´s new right now?

Currently I am very busy with faculty, so there's nothing new in short-term plans, but in long-term I'm planning some improvements in promoting my podcast (working on new radio station in Belgrade with my friends). Speaking of live gigs, I can announce some events in local bars and pubs, about which will my fans be noticed through my social networks. Another thing that I didn't mention about myself is my production of mashups and edits. I release one pack of them yearly and you can find them all on my DemoDrop account (so expect more of them in 2018).

Thanks for your time and special thanks to DJ Lucian&Geo for recommending me to this interview.
