Read the Positive Bass Interview below and share it on social media.

Please tell our readers who you are and what you do?

I'm Gastón Pellecchia and I produce under the name of 'Positive Bass'. I born in 1999 in the neighborhood of la Recoleta, Buenos Aires, Argentina. In 2013 at the age of 14 I started producing electro, dubstep and weird EDM tracks. My style change from that to a more melodic stuff like dance, house and future bass. I learned the basics of music production from youtube and with that I've improved by passing the years with self experience in practice.

How would you describe your influences and how have they changed over the years?

Since I was a kid I always liked electronic music. I listened a lot to Tiësto, Deadmau5 and David Guetta. By 2012 with what was the global explosion of the dubstep, I started to listen it a little by little until became to do something daily and produce it in 2014/2015. The influences that I been have it are many since I like to listen to everything ranging from house to future bass and that's just the kind of music that i do. My main references are San Holo, Flume, Pouya, Getter, Direct and The Chainsmokers.

What´s new right now?

My remix of 'Lauv – I like me better' that I release a few days ago, was the most successful, by far, in my entire career. This arose because the original song I liked, but it seemed very slow and I felt the urge to give it my touch. I got into the remix contest and decided to participate. Then in the studio watching the chords and the bpm that I chose, it occurred to me to do it with the particular style of the Chainsmokers. Everything fit perfectly for my taste and from that moment I knew the potential that I had. Two months later it is launched on YouTube and it reaches 10,000 visits. In just two days! I did not expect a such repercussion, I mean, I knew the potential that I had and I hoped it would be a success, but I never came up with so much scope.
Right now I have prepared too many things that I'm going to release in a few days and many things in mind for next year, like an EP or an album and many collaborations with different producers and local singers.

Do you have good promotion tips for other musicians?

I usually talk about what I do with friends and acquaintances that I know will probably support me and are not toxic with what I do. It really is not difficult to find people who like what you do, although it is very easy to find people and false friends who take you down and do not get you better. Search for this kind of support, it will works and they are your first fans, do not fail them.

Once you discovered new music, do you tell others about the new music/artist you discovered? If yes, how exactly?

“When I join with my friends and colleagues I usually recommend a musician or song that I discovered recently and that I like a lot. Years ago, I had discovered an Argentine producer, who at that time was not known, and I talked about him and his music to my best friend who was fascinated by what he heard.
