Raf Fender French dj and producer who gives free rein to his passion, distilling sharp mixes & productions and has succeeded to build his own Style resolutely balancing between Progressive Trance and Psy Trance.
He played with world-famous DJs, such as : Liquid Soul, Ace Ventura, Symphonix, Kularis, Avalon, X-Noise, Infected Mushroom Laughing Buddha, Headromm, Boom Shankar, Sensifeel, Kasey Taylor, Behind Blue Eyes, Nok, Drenan, Innate, Greed, Flowjob
He is well known for his sets with strong rhythm and melodic lines which have been causing dance floor chaos amongst Progressive Trance & Psy Trance lovers ever since.
How would you describe your influences and how have they changed over the years?
My influence came from a lot of different kind of music
playing as a drummer in an heavy metal band when i was 16 years old, influence by Metalica, Iron Maiden, Guns & Roses, Pink floyd and many more but listened also to a lot of reggae, fusion & rock
I discovered electonic music at 18 years in psytrance parties .
i decided to learn mixing myself and learned it in 3 month on vnyls ( being a drummer helped of lot ? )
6 month after i got my first residance in a big club in Paris in a progressive house party
It took some time to jump into producing my own tracks and got my first release with RPO(Rick Pier O Neil)
100 tracks after i jump from progressive house to progressive trance & psytrance to approach the sound i discovered in psytrance parties
i joined the label Onefeel music in 2015 owned by my friend Sensifeel and trough the H.O.T (House of Trance) parties in Paris
we invited all the big names in Psytrance like Ace Ventura, Liquid Soul, Symbolic, X-Noise, Ritmo and many many more
What´s new right now?
2018 will be a great year , i have many collabs on the way and a lot of new tracks to come
i am also working on a new album but i takes time to find the guidline because my sound is evolving a lot
