Please tell our readers who you are and what you do?
I’m Doug Fairbanks aka RaveHeart I’m a DJ, Producer, Visual artist based in Columbus, Ohio. As RaveHeart my focus is centered around deep house and techno but early last year I started a side project I call WHASP so that I could explore and experiment with other genres like hip hop trap and chillstep. I produce a mix series on Soundcloud & Mixcloud called Love In This House and I’m also a resident Dj at Tendrum Tuesday my weekly event here in Columbus and you can also find me playing shows with the Rude Crew Jive Tribe. I just released the 62nd episode of my mix series (https://soundcloud.com/raveheart_music/love-in-this-house-vol-61-revenge-of-the-synth) I’ll be releasing a collab with my friend ii7o (270tunes) really soon and I’ll be releasing my EP later this year.
How would you describe your influences and how have they changed over the years?
My musical influences are all over the place I grew up on classic rock the first CD my dad gave me was Jimi Hendrix Axis Bold As Love when I was 5. And since then I’ve explored all kinds of music from West cost gangster rap to bluegrass and everything in between and I don’t see that exploration stopping any time soon.
What´s new right now?
I’m working on 2 projects currently with my friend ii7o (270tunes) one original track and an Eat Sleep Rave Repeat remix that I’m excited for people to hear. We’re also working on combining my DJing and his live production so that we can start playing shows together. I’ve also been working on lining up acts for my weekly show Tendrum Tuesdays which people are definitely going to want to see. I’ll also be rolling out some official RaveHeart merch in the next few months.

Are you a superfan of anyone? How did you become a superfan? Do you remember how you become a fan and what turned you into super fan? Have you ever thought about why you´re such a fan?
Yeah a couple people Jay-Z and Tom Morello stand out from my life before I started making music but now after working in the industry for a few years I have to say I’m a Carl Cox super fan. I got to see him 4 times in 3 days at EDC Las Vegas in 2015 and that experience totally changed the direction of my DJ career what he’s able to do on the decks is incredible and hope to one day find my own version of his style in the future.
