Please tell our readers who you are and what you do?
My name Is Jacques Broomfield otherwise known by my DJ name Reload. I'm 19 years old and live I in Cardiff, Wales. I'm an up and coming DJ in the Drum and Bass scene and have been mixing drum and bass for just over a year now. How would you describe your influences and how have they changed over the years?
I used to listen to a varied amount of music growing up from pop to rock and everything in between. It's only been over the past few years I started to listen to electronic music and discovered Drum and Bass as a result. I appreciate all genres and styles of music but Drum and Bass is my main genre I listen to and I absolutely love it. I had a lot of influences when i first started to get into Drum and Bass from the likes of Majistrate and Guv, without the influence from them and listening to their music and live sets I probably never would have fully got into Drum and Bass.
What´s new right now?
I have a few exciting things coming up this year that I can't wait to share with everyone. I recently got a residency with a local Cardif night called Sticky Lemons and joined the Artist of Riddim group that will be touring the U.K. playing at different clubs, festivals etc. I also have quite a few bookings coming up that I'm very excited about. I also have my first proper release coming out once I hit 200 followers over on SoundCloud (so if you dont follow me already make sure you do! its linked below).
